(In production)
We are excited to embark on the next chapter of Of Roots and Routes with the production of a short documentary film that builds on the success of our first exhibition and extends our exploration of what defines a cultural narrative.
Through the stories, practices and perspectives of our remarkable line-up of artists, the film will explore how heritage is preserved, reinterpreted and transmitted across generations and borders. At its heart is the idea that design can be more than an aesthetic or functional practice: it can become a powerful vehicle for safeguarding cultural memory, carrying personal and collective histories, and transforming objects into meaningful, collectible expressions of identity and belonging.
By bringing together artists’ voices, creative processes and material narratives, Of Roots and Routes seeks to reveal how objects can hold stories, embody heritage and shape the ways we understand who we are and where we come from.
We are currently in the midst of production and can’t wait to share more with you. Stay tuned for updates as this new chapter unfolds!
