Nasra Mamoun
Jewellery designer-maker
Born in Sudan into an artistic family, Nasra Mamoun is a jewellery designer-maker who has been creating bespoke pieces for over twenty years. After studying Geology at Yarmouk University in Jordan, she moved to the UK, where she trained in silversmithing and developed a practice rooted in precious metals, gemstones, and organic handmade forms.
Deeply influenced by her Sudanese heritage, nature, and geological knowledge, her work draws inspiration from the colours of the desert and the Nile, as well as the textures and harmonies found in the natural world. Working primarily in silver and stones such as agate, she creates intuitive, contemporary pieces that bridge tradition and modernity.
For Nasra, jewellery is more than adornment—it is an expression of identity, emotion, and presence. She dedicates this work to the victims of the war in Sudan and to the memory of loved ones lost.
