Born in Khartoum, Sudan, Fayrouz Omer is a multidisciplinary Sudanese artist whose practice explores identity, displacement, and memory through sculpture and installation. She holds a BA (Hons) in Fine Arts from Sudan University for Science and Technology (1996), and later pursued postgraduate studies at the Kunsthochschule Kassel in Germany, where she studied under renowned artist Professor Dorothee von Windheim (2004–2008). In 2007, she was nominated for the prestigious Meisterschülerin title.
Her work has been shown across Europe and Sudan, including exhibitions in Kassel, Vienna, Cologne, Wiesbaden, Dortmund, and Khartoum. She was part of Kunst im Exil in Germany (1999) and Black & White at the French Cultural Centre in Khartoum (2017). Her art often engages with themes of resilience and cultural heritage, and she brings a deeply personal and political lens to contemporary Sudanese identity.
